Domies has been a go-to for cakes & breakfast in our family for as long as I can remember. They have plenty of cakes to buy that are ready to buy without having to calling to reserve. For cakes: mango cake is a family favorite. The 6inch Mango Cake is $28, perfect for about 8 slices. The cake is moist, not too sweet, and has a lot fruit! Other items we enjoy: Taro bread, egg tart, pineapple bread, & taro pastry.

I called this bakery and asked them if they sold cake by the slice and they did so I went there shortly after. I thought I heard her say the cake was $4.35, but when I paid, she gave me my dime back and said the slice of mango cake was $4.25. Even though it's just a dime, I truly care about principle and appreciated that I was charged the correct amount and wasn't taken advantage of. I enjoyed the slice of mango cake and would come back here again.
Domies Bakery has been a staple bakery for my family to go to whenever it's someone's birthday. We've been coming here since I was a child & will always be my go-to cake spot ! We ALWAYS order the durian cake -- SO good if you're a durian connoisseur like I am. The cake is moist, paired with the durian is just *chefs kiss*. The only thing is I just wish they put chunkier durian pieces in it/ they were more generous with the durian. The workers are also so nice and they speak Cantonese :') I love supporting this mom and pops shop, and will continue to come here whenever I have to pick up a birthday cake for a family members bday.
I've been coming here since I was a child. They have plenty of birthday cakes premade and ready to go, we've never had any issues of it being stale or not fresh. And for all my ABC kiddos, don't worry the ladies here speak English as well. I had them write happy birthday in Chinese for my mom. Their crispy cake is so good! You do need to call ahead to order one. Comes in quarter sheet, half sheet or full sheet.
Great bakery, they make all my HK favorites, from Pineapple Bun to Mooncake. For them to make Mooncake in house, that's a massive undertaken, because it takes considerable time to prep and make them. We had an event at Live Oak and had some of their pastries, and it was excellent. The Pineapple Bun was soft and crispy outside, with the perfect blend of pineapple crust. The crust did not fall off like others, not too sweet either. The crispy cake was also excellent, the philo crispy sheets between the sponge cake was perfect, not soggy like others, matched with a good balance of creme, it was just delicious. Overall, I highly recommend them, as they are truly one of the better HK style bakery in the 626.
